ABOUT BART
Bart is the pastor of the Mount Vernon United Methodist Church in Danville, VA. A lifetime Minnesota, his relocation to Virginia in January of 2016 has been quite a change.
Bart and Claudia have adopted twelve children and are the proud grandparents of seven grandchildren. Bart is a gifted writer, an articulate preacher and speaker, and an amazing husband, father and grandfather. He is also a tremendous chef. He is also incredibly modest so obviously his wife is writing this bio.
Bart is obsessed with books and his hobbies include reading (several hours a day), walking and hiking, cooking, baking and watching birds.
ABOUT CLAUDIA
Claudia is the Chief Program Officer at Patrick Henry Family Services where she overseas Patrick Henry Boys and Girls Homes, Safe Families for Children, and Hope for Tomorrow counseling. Also the parent of 12 and grandparent of 7, she has spent the last 16 years serving as an adoption professional.
Claudia's hobbies include her job (which sounds weird, but really isn't), photography, all things Macintosh, web design, etc.
Her sweet spot is when she is standing in front of an engaged crowd, sharing her passion for caring for the children of the world.
